1) The first step prior to the installation of the wireless printer is to get the name of the network and its password
2) If the printer has a control panel, then, the wireless connection gets configured directly and the printer automatically detects networks within the range
3) The name of the network can be identified and the password should be entered
4) Set the IP address of the printer
5) The firewall option should be put out of action so that the printer can interact with the PC
6) Look for the wireless security protocol
7) The printer can be connected to the OS by start>devices and printers>control panel>hardware and sound>devices and printers(in case of Windows 7)
