Hello, my hard drive got damaged as I was working with it. I lost all my data. IS there any possibility I can encrypt my hard drive again. Is there any laptop hard drive encryption software?
You might first need to download BitLocker.
1. First, Log on to your Windows PC with any admin account, later go to the desktop window.
2. Make sure that you have the portable hard drive connected to your computer.
3. Click on This PC to open it.
4. On the window to the next, I Devices and drives section, right-click on the icon of the hard drive that you want to be encrypted.
5. From the list, click on Turn on BitLocker option.

6. As it is completed, representing the option that you want to use for protection, check the checkbox
7. Select the location you wish to save your recovery key.
8. Click on Save from Save BitLocker recovery key as.
9. As you have now saved your recovery key, click on Next to proceed further.
10. as soon as the Choose how much of your drive to encrypt interface is opened, select the radio button namely Encrypt used disk space only (faster and best for new PCs and drives).Â
11. Click on Start Encrypting. There would be then seen a popup box namely BitLocker Drive Encryption, wait till the process is completed.
