Hello Experts,

Today I tried to install Adobe Master Suite CS4. As I was installing it a window suddenly pops up stating this:

Adobe Premier Pro CS4 Installer – Progress

Installation Error

Installation of the following components has failed:

Adobe Premier Pro CS4

Adobe Encore CS4

To continue installing the remaining options, click Continue.

To cancel this installation, click Quit.

Quit     Continue

I checked my if I have enough harddisk space and I had more than enough needed.

I previously installed it into my desktop computer and received no errors during installation.

It also happened to me while installing adobe CS3. There are two reasons for this each mentioned below:

1. As you mentioned that you have installed it before and it worked well. I hope now you are installing it after having a fresh copy of windows. If so then this error is because of some corrupt window files. To resolve this you have to install the window again.

2. If not so then there is a problem in your backup of adobe CS4. Some files have been deleted or corrupted by some program. To resolve it try to install it from the disk.

Hope this works

If you want to install Adobe Master Collection CS4, check the system requirements first then verify that your computer meets those requirements. Adobe Master Collection CS4 supports Windows XP Service Pack 2 and Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (Home Premium, Business, Ultimate, or Enterprise edition). This is certified for 32-bit Microsoft Windows.

It requires 2 GHz or faster processor, 2 GB RAM, 24.3 GB free space, OpenGL 2.0-compatible video card with Shader Model 3.0 support for some GPU-accelerated features, 1280 x 900 minimum screen resolution, and QuickTime 7.4.5 or higher for QuickTime and multimedia features. If you have 64-bit Microsoft Windows, I don’t think the program will install. If you have Windows 7, try launching the installer in compatibility mode.

Right-click the Adobe Master Collection CS4 installer or setup file then select “Properties”. In the properties window, go to “Compatibility” tab then under “Compatibility mode” section, check “Run this program in compatibility mode for” then select either “Windows XP” or “Windows Vista” from the dropdown list. Click “OK” then start the installer. If this doesn’t work, shift to a much newer version like Adobe Master Collection CS5.
