Hi

I have recently installed the vector graphics editor inkscape on my system. When I start the software sometimes it open up smoothly but sometimes it ends up in an error.

The screenshot of the error is attached below:

Close Firefox Before Importing

Sadly, your Mozilla Firefox settings are not available while that browser is running. To import those settings to Google Chrome, save your work and close all Firefox windows. Then click Continue.

Continue Skip Import

inkscape.exe – Application Error

The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000005). Click OK to

close the application.

                                                                        OK

I don’t know why this is happening. If anybody has the slightest of idea why this error appears, please guide me to get rid of this.

Waiting for your suggestions.

Regards,

Mike

This error was reported by many users who got the solution. Here is the solution what you need to do. This was the solution proposed by Inkscape vendor itself.

Try to reboot your system and check whether it comes normally or not. If it doesn't work shut down your system wait for some time this time it will definitely works properly.

This issue is occurring because of memory leaks and usage of memory in your system. When you reboot or shutdown your system memory will be free and can be used by other users. So, Just a multiple reboots will help you in this.

Inkscape error – Looking for solution

Hello Bessierromero!

This is a bug on Inkscape running on Windows 7. One reason why this happens is that Inkscape is not fully supported on Windows 7. A simple solution is you need a system restart (reboot your computer and try to run the application). This is weird but in most cases it solves the problem.

Another reason why you are getting this error is that you have conflict softwares in using Windows 7 resources such as Adobe Products like Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Illustrator.

I also encountered this problem before and the solution is to uninstall the Dreamweaver. Please use the stable version and not the beta or development version.
