Hi,

I was trying to defrag the primary partition on my Mackintosh using the iDefrag software version 1.2 which was recommended by a friend. Everything was okay until I hit the defrag button where I landed into problems. This is the message that I got. This partition is working properly such that when I open it normally it opens but cannot defrag. What could be the problem?

Hello Christopher,

The problem is because of lacks of some maintenance. iDefrag has found errors in the directory so it won’t run unless those are repaired.

Use OnyX. It will help you fix the issues with the disk. It is such a utility that will help you verify the startup disk, check the structure of its system files, run different tasks of system maintenance and much more.

After it has repaired your disk, run iDefrag once again.

Also, get the latest version of iDefrag from here.

Your defragment task should be done perfectly.
