I couldn't get my Dell laptop to connect with my router. Weird thing is, all the other client PC in my house could. Only mine couldn't.

Can anybody help me and give an idea what could the problem be?

Hi there friend,

What we need to do here to resolve this problem of yours, is first, go to Start, then to Control Panel and then to Network connections. Once you enter the wizard, it will show you what you must do to have a strong and safe connection.
if you can`t handle this, check if your Dell has the appropriate driver for your router.
If not, just download the correct version from the Internet and install it to your Dell.
Also try restarting the router, wait till all of the lights are off and then plug it in.

simple fixes, but should do the work.
hope this helps you,

Regards.

Hi, I’ll give you the steps in how to resolve this:

  1. Click START
  2. Control panel
  3. Network and sharing Center
  4. manage wireless network
  5. change adapter settings You can see this on the right side
  6. right click on Wireless network Connection the click on PROPERTIES
  7. under network tab click INTERNET PROTOCOL VERSION6 (TCP/IPv6)
  8. click PROPERTIES
  9. check the box that says obtain IPv6 automatically
  10. obtain DNS server address automatically
  11. and then OK

You can also update your wireless card driver. Just Log on to support.dell.com and go to home users then click on drivers and downloads, then enter your tag service then after that you’ll need to download and install the wireless card driver.

I hope this will help you.

Good Day!
