HP scanner fails to scan files

Hello,

I was not able to perform a scan using HP scanner due to an error that occurred. I managed to get a screenshot with further details. Please see image and advice me appropriately.

 

The scan cannot be performed because another program or computer is using the networked HP imaging device. Try again later.

HP scanner fails to scan files

In order to resolve this issue and many more that may arise in the future, you best bet would be to download the HP scan doctor. This will help resolve most of your scanning and printing issues in the future. Download the tool, run a scan and fix the problems.

HP scanner fails to scan files

• Solution One: Restart

Whenever a scan or print fails, restart your computer, scanner and wireless router or internet device. This should be your first step towards trouble shooting. If the problem persists then go to solution 2.

• Solution Two:  Scan from Control panel

Follow these steps:

1. Open the lid and load your original document
2. On the product control panel, press “scan”.
3. “Choose a scan destination” screen displays.
4. Press “computer” and choose your computer name and then press “Scan”.
