Last night I had switched off my PC directly through AC mains. Today, when I tried to start the computer, it didn’t. Instead, it flashed a message stating unknown BIOS error code FFFF. I cannot start my computer. Please help.
You have a serious problem and try the following solutions to see if the problem is solved. Never turn off the PC by cutting off its power supply. You may damage critical hardware and software component through this practice.
1. Reload BIOS default settings.
2. Reinstall all the BIOS and related drivers.
3. Press F2 during start up and try to run the Windows Disk check and Recovery mechanism.
4. Reset the configuration data set for BIOS.
5. The NVRAM CMOS battery must have been damaged. Try to replace it with a new one.
6. Drain the NVRAM memory by unplugging it from the CPU’s power cord and pressing the CPU start button.
