Hello Experts,

How to download please file codec?

I got some files with please format and I want to listen to it but suddenly an error occurred that I need to install a codec first so that I will be able to listen from media player or VLC.

I need your help guys to resolve this issue.

Please is basically playlist file that is used to play files saved on your hard disk or any other location. You have to make sure that your media player have the Please codec for this first install K Lite Codec Pack.

First download K Lite Codec Pack from following location first:

http://getfr.no-ip.org/pub/dc/software/k-lite/K-Lite_Codec_Pack_930_Mega.exe

Then download Please codec from the following link:

http://openplsinwmp.codeplex.com/releases/view/16579

Download Please Codec OpenPlsInWmp2Setup.exe and install it. Now try to play the Please files.

(a) You can download free Please codec from the below site.

  1. Windows Media Player can play Please, but you must have to installed codec first
  2. To download codec for windows media player go to this link : http://openplsinwmp.codeplex.com/
  3. Click on download button on top right side
  4. Save the application
  5. Install application on your PC
  6. Now open PL S file in windows media player

(b) You can download free Winamp from the below site.

  1. Older versions of Windows Media Player 7 to 10, Winamp, iTunes and VLC on either PC or Mac, play .pls files.
  2. Install Winamp, which was made for live audio streaming
  3. Download winamp from https://filehippo.com/download_winamp/
  4. Install winamp on your PC, now you can play .pls file on your PC
