Hello there.  I'm a new Mac user.  I have the 27" iMac that has a 3.2 GHz  Quad-Core Intel Core i5, 8 GB RAM, 1 TB HDD, 1 GB Nvidia GeForce GTX 675MX Graphics processor and OSx Mountain Lion.  How do I check for open ports Mac?

Here are some ways you can check for open ports in MAC
 
1. Run netstat -a -p tcp
2. You can view all open ports with this command: lsof -i -P | grep -i “listen”
3. Check this link and see Apple's recommended process to check for open ports. You can always visit the Apple website for any concerns as they provide many Knowledge Base articles to help you.
