When I print a document and getting a message that pops up from the system tray telling that your document was sent to the printer.

Then I have the option to click the x to close the message or wait for it to slowly fade away.

If I don't want to see this message at all then how to disable it?

Hi Cynthia,

Yes there is a way to disable this function so that you will not see this notification anymore. To do this there are 4 simple steps that you have to follow. For most printers you can follow this guide but there are some that may slightly vary but in general follow the same logic behind this guide.

The first step would be to open your Devices and Printers that can be found in the control panel. The second step once you have accessed your Devices and Printers scroll down and click on your Printer so as it will become highlighted. Once highlighted right click on the printer and select Print server properties or Printer properties.

The last step is to navigate to your advance tab and uncheck the Informational Notifications. Simply save the changes and you will not receive any more notifications when you print your documents.

If you are annoyed with the print notification balloon on the system tray every time you print a document, here’s how to turn off the Windows print notification balloon. Click “Start” then “Control Panel”. Set the view to “Small icons” to display all items then click “Devices and Printers”. On the next screen, under “Printers and Faxes” section, click a printing device to display the hidden menus.

Click “Print server properties”. In “Print Server Properties” window, go to “Advanced” tab then uncheck “Show informational notifications for local printers” and “Show informational notifications for network printers”.

When you are done, click “OK” and that’s it. The annoying print notification balloon is now gone.
