My Inspiron Dell Inspiron Laptop has a built-in Windows Home Basic 7 OS. It was infected by a virus so I want to reformat it. I do not know how to reformat this laptop without an original Window 7 OS CD. All I have is my Dell DataSafe Local BackUp CD. How can I use my Dell DataSafe Local BackUp CD to reformat my laptop?

If you want to format your hard drive then this is not possible with Dell data safe Backup CD. To format a hard drive it is necessary for you to have the windows cd. But why do you want to reformat your system. If you are having some problems you can restore your system to some earlier date.
Dell data safe backup is a utility which provide your platform to keep your data safe. So that in case of any problem with data you can easily access it from Data backup. It is the utility which run in Windows and there is no way that you can reformat your hard drive using this.
