Hello experts

I am getting a problem when i am installing Office Scan 10.6 client on my Windows 7 64bit system and Windows Server 2008 R264bit.

When i tried to install officescan client, i found the following error message. I am running Officescan 10.6 version. Please help me. Thanks.

Error: Unable to install the officescan client, there was copying DwIoTrapNT.dll. Please contact your Officescan administrator for assistance

Hallo Olivia,

To resolve the issue that you are getting, you will need to do the following:

  • You will need to go to the internet and download the  Hot fix 1180.1 and then install it on your computer. Note that you can get a copy of this hotfix as well as its Readmefile from the following link.
    If you need additional instructions to install the hotfix just check the readme file.
  • You will also need to download the following OSCE 10.6 SP1 and then install it on your computer.

Once you have installed the hotfixes above the error you are getting should disappear.

Trend Micro has already released Hotfix that will fix this kind of error. To resolve this issue, download and install Hotfix 1180.1 and then download and install OSCE 10.6 SP1. If this doesn't resolve your issue, you may contact their technical support team and inform them that you are still encountering this kind of error.
