Hi!

I run an Ubuntu (with wine) operating system on my computer, but recently, I experienced a challenge in running the Flash CS5 on it.

It often returns an error message that the program has experiences a serious problem and needs to close.

How can I correct this problem and run CS5 successfully in Ubuntu OS?

Error:

Flash CS5 Program Error on Ubuntu OS

Installing Adobe Flash CS5 on Ubuntu is quite tricky. You need to get around some stuff to finally use it. I managed to find a site where the user was finally able to use it. But the truth is he was unable to successfully install Adobe Flash CS5 on his Ubuntu machine because I think there is no way of installing it on an Ubuntu platform. He managed to find a way to successfully run the application on his Ubuntu machine using Wine.

The first that he did was to install Adobe Flash CS5 on Windows. He installed a virtual machine on his Ubuntu then install Windows on it. After that, he then installs Adobe Flash CS5. After successfully installing Adobe Flash CS5 on Windows using his virtual machine he then exported Adobe registry branch.

There are still a lot of things that need to be done in order to run Adobe Flash CS5 on Ubuntu. For your complete reference on this matter, please visit Int3ractive — Blog of Thanh Tran, front-end developer, Linux user.
