File Format Not Supported Error on Nokia Phone

I have a Nokia 5300 XpressMusic with 1GB Micro SD Card. I downloaded music, pictures, and themes using a USB cable provided by Nokia. When I attempt to open the files on my phone, an error is appearing. The file format of the files I recently downloaded is not supported by the phone. When in fact, it was just an .mp3 file for music, .jpg file for pictures and .sis file for themes. What do I need to do? Can anyone provide a precise and concrete reply? Thank you.

File Format Not Supported Error on Nokia Phone

Hello Andrew,

As for the .mp3 file format for the music, I know for sure that one is supported for the Nokia express music phones, so you just need to check may be the problem is being caused by the files you are using on the phone being in a different format other than mp3. Jpg and sis files should be supported too for the pictures.

The problem could be with your memory card and therefore I will advise that you try formatting it and then transfer the files back on it using a computer, and then try playing them from the phone and see if they will work this time round.

Hope this helps.
