Hi,

I am using Microsoft Office 365 Sharepoint and Windows Server 2003 Sp3

In an attempt to add a user to the OWNER group in Sharepoint,I get the following error "The file exists. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070050).Correlation ID: 84d7c095-c996-4511-bf66-63f4ad93c148."The user is an administrator and this is merely a P1 subscription account.Perhaps,I feel this has some correlation with the Security Idetifiers, but I am not too sure.

Hello Richard,

The file that you are trying to add is already available on your system. Or the problem could also be as a result of conflict in the names that you are using. You will need to do the following to resolve the issue:

  • Try renaming the files and after that try re-adding it again. If the problem was name-related, the file should work well this time round.
  • If the error still persists, the application could be having some bugs that may force you to uninstall the application and then reinstall it to fix the issues.
  • Also check the security identifiers and see if they could be causing the error in some way.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Carl
