Is this confirmed or just a rumor? How does this affect me as a Facebook user and what are the changes that will happen if this is made true?

yes the rumor is true, Facebook is buying Face.com. It is publish in Israel business publication reports in Hebrew.
The offer is 80-100 million dollars. It had been a target of Facebook to buy Face.com before but they are rebuffed because the offer is very low.
The effect on Facebook users is not very big because we are already using the app for face recognition and tagging. And beside Facebook have also Instagram on mobiles.
Face.com CEO on the other hand, shrugged off rumors about Facebook buying. But, the addition of it's facial recognition tech to Facebook user mobiles app is assuring that tagging photos will continue.
