Hi guys,

I am a cygwin user and I am using the URL library. When I try to convert the code ftpupload.c in windows and then try to open the .exe file, I get an error on my screen. The screenshot of the error is attached below:

a.exe – Unable To Locate Component:

This application has failed to start because cygcurl-4.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.

Has anybody compiled this code before? I can't get the point as to where I am making a mistake.

Your help is required in solving the problem.

Thanks.

I think your application is missing something. Check again the installation folder of your program then verify if the file cygcurl-4.dll really exists or not. You may try reinstalling the application if the file is indeed missing. Uninstall Cygwin then restart your computer when asked. After booting, check your computer for any possible errors. Use a disk utility application to check the system. For a much thorough diagnostics test on your machine, use disk utility applications like Norton SystemWorks, Norton Utilities, or PC Tools Performance Toolkit. Install the application again then check if you are now able to use it.

If this is the first time this happened, try restarting your computer then try it again. You may also try upgrading your present version of the program if you are still using an older one.
