When I try to open a game like LcdDem, it does not load and would completely crash. I could not proceed with the game. It already has the package for 2000 runtime installed on it but that did not do any good. This always happens with all the games I attempted to load.
Can anybody recommend any suggestions to fix this problem?

If this problem happens in all of the games you attempted to play, your system might have a problem or it is already infected by a virus since you are a game fanatic. If the game you are playing is an offline type which means it doesn’t require an internet connection to be able to play it and you used any illegal tools to register the game, the problem may have originated from the manipulated file or key generator that you used.
Most of the available illegal tools or key generators on the web are Trojan infected. That’s why you need to scan them first before attempting to use it. But doing this your antivirus might delete the tool and you will not be able to use it. If you are using an illicit software or tool to activate any of your games, you should know how to analyze and manage the manipulated file so your system will not be infected and still be able to use it.
With the current condition of your machine, you should scan your computer for possible virus infection. Update your antivirus then run a full system scan on your computer. Be sure to scan the folder System Volume Information which is found in the root of every drive. This is the first priority of infection of most Trojans that I have encountered.
This folder contains all the restore points of the drive and if it gets infected you will lose all the restore options. This is a hidden system folder so you need to change some options in the Folders Option to make it visible. If you found out that your system is indeed infected, the best solution is to format your hard drive and install Windows again.
