Error when opening illustrator on CS3

Hi,

Mention that, I use Lenovo X200 Tablet PC. The operating system of my Pc is Windows 7; which is Creative Suite 3 Design Standard. In Friday, 9/23, I tried to open Illustrator and saw an error message.

The message told me to uninstall the program first and then reinstall it again. When I tried to open InDesign and Photoshop software, I saw the same error message. Before this error message all three programs running very fine.

Then restarted my computer after uninstalling CS3 and tried to reinstall CS3 again. All the shared components installed; just Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Version Cue, etc. gave me the "Component install failed" error message and did not install.

Then I went through a support page and solved all the solution except ones. Rest one is based upon Windows Event Viewer error numbers.

The last time CS3 worked and when it failed on Friday I didn’t install any updates between them. I don’t what the reason behind this.

Please give me a suggestion. Thanks in advance.

Since you have specified the error a bit less so I try my best to suggest you few things.

  1. The things that you did for the other softwares that enabled them to be reinstalled again, do the same for the Photoshop.
  2. There is also a chance that the last time you removed the Photoshop was not a successful. So you have to confirm it by go to program files folder and personally deleting the adobe Photoshop folder.
  3. There are also some registries left attached to windows files when you remove a software. So you need a registry cleaner to clean the registries and then try to install the Photoshop.
  4. Update your .Net Framework to 4.0. It is required now a days for few installation components to run successful.
