Error shown while initiating the program after successful installation of Turbo Tax

Hi all, Yesterday I was trying to install TurboTax on my system to work with my taxes. I installed it successfully, but when I tried to initiate the program, I was met with the following error on my screen:

"TurboTax.exe-Bad Image
C:WindowsMicrosoft.NETFrameworkv4.0.30319Presenta
tionNative_v0400.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or
it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the
original installation media or contact your system administrator
or the software vendor for support."

I had a chat with the turbo tax support and they asked me to download the software from their website instead of from a cd. So, following their instructions, I successfully installed the TurboTax, but again, I got the same error.

Now, I tried installing it on another system with OS windows vista using a cd and to my surprise, I was successful, but why not on the other system?

Does anyone have any clue as to why this error is popping up again and again?

Your help is needed to resolve the query.

Regards.

Hello Sophie Issabell, you don't need to be wonder at all as the problem is not of a big mouth. It is resulted because of the old version of Windows Installer and .NET Framework installed in your current operation system. All you need is to download and install latest version of Windows Installer and .NET Framework, your application, TurboTax will execute flawlessly.

Hi Sophieisabelle,

There may have been vulnerabilities in the computer, can be caused by a virus or malware. First thing to do is to scan for viruses or malwares. Then update Java, and run JavaRa as this can’t be called out when opening the program that’s why it is giving out an error. If this fails try to remove the program and install it on safe mode this disables the add on programs that might be affecting the installation. Installing the software from the CD can be an option but the downfall is it will not have the updated release.
