Error running LiveUpdate and Norton Recovery Tools in Norton IS 2012

I’ve been trying to run LiveUpdate and Norton Recovery Tools in my Norton Internet Security folder but I keep getting the error I posted below. I tried to log on to my system with administrative rights as I followed an online instruction. And then I tried running LiveUpdate and Norton Recovery Tool again but it still gives the same error message. What is this error all about? Do you have any ideas on resolving it? Thanks in advance.

Error running LiveUpdate and Norton Recovery Tools in Norton IS 2012

Hi There,

Live Update and Norton Recovery Tool are both different tools but they are same company’s product. So if you can run one of them the other one will run without any problem.

That error shows that you have some corrupted files in this application program so that you can’t update it. In this case you can update it after new installation. To do so, first uninstall your previous one. If the corruption came from virus then you need to install a updated version. If you can’t access or uninstall these files then you have to perform force update. For this go to its website and use online scan and then update from there.
