I got this error while playing with Sony Vegas:

You can try the following steps. I think it can help you.
Step 1:
Do reset to default values in Vegas then close the program. Now write CTRL+SHIFT and holt CTRL+SHIFT at a time until the program is fully up and loaded.
Step 2:
A new window will open and ask you “Do you want to rest all preferences to default values” check the box and delete all application data.
Step 3:
Click yes. You are done. Thanks.
