Am getting an error from Kerio Outlook connector as shown below. Any ideas?
Checking of connection to kerio connect failed
Kerio Outlook connector is not connected to kerio connect
(For technical support: 0x80042004, unknown error)
For that error, all signs point to Windows update KB2585542. This affected the system library used by Kerio and many other applications.
First, see if the update was even installed.
In the Control Panel, go to Programs and then Programs and Features. Select “Installed updates” option and look for “KB2585542” in Microsoft Windows section.
If it’s there, there are three possible solutions:
You can uninstall it from that same view by clicking “Uninstall” box and restarting your computer.
You can also install the patch that was rolled out to address the issue: Kerio Connect 7.3.1 patch 2. Here is the link:

The third option is to disable the “Use data compression” feature in account settings. To do so, open Control Panel, select Users accounts and then select Mail option. Click on the E-mail Accounts button and edit the account settings and uncheck „Use data compression" option in Server Details tab. Then click on OK and start Microsoft Outlook:
