Hello,

Does anyone know how to resolve this problem? I have uninstalled and reinstalled; deleted prefs. And nothing solved the issue.

Error message that pops up when clicking on the text tool –

"could not complete your request because of a program error."

Then PS CS 3 does not allow me to close the error message, which means that I must FORCE QUIT.

Mac G5 tower, leopard 10.5.6lots of memory and space

Hello Zachary,

Here are a couple of things you will need to do to in order to resolve that issue:

  • First, you will need to check the VRAM you have on the CPU. It needs not to be less that 512 MB for the 3D functions to work properly.
  • You will also need to try clearing the preferences cache by holding down Ctrl, Alt and Shift keys and then start splash screen which  launches the program. You will need to keep it held down until the application's window opens.
  • When you have Control + Alt + Shift keys on startup do you get a popup conformation box? You will need to try disconnecting the network cable or the wireless connection and then retry it.
