I have a corrupted file and ran the recovery for Lotus Notes.

However, it created a folder with DXL scripts and batch file.

How can these files be corrected so that new files are created?

If you can be able to open the file, you will need to try using the save as option and see if you can save the file with a different extension.

  • With the document opened, go to the main menu and click on file;
  • And then choose save as.
  • In the window that will open, locate the formats that file can be saved and change to another one that is not .dxl.
  • Save the file on your desktop.

After you have done that, go to the desktop and click on the file and see if it will open.

In case it refuses, then the file is completely corrupt. You will have to look for a backup that you might have saved somewhere else and use it.

Hello Chuck,

To repair the corrupted files in lotus notes, you will need to use a suitable too to repair them. You can use Repair NSF File software that uses risk free techniques to recover the files and as well maintain the original file at the root location for further repair. A software that does just that is called the Stellar Phoenix Lotus Notes Recovery.

You will need to getStellar Phoenix Lotus Notes Recovery v1.5 that is more advanced, and it will enable you to repair corrupt or damaged IBM Lotus Notes NSF files so easily, and it will also restore them in original format in any location that you want on your computer.

Regards,

Carl
