Conversion problem – ISO from DMG with Mac Lion

I am converting Mac OSX Lion.dmg file with MagicISO to ISO image. That file has downloaded.

So, it can be used on Virtual Box and can be played.

But when I am selecting the DMG file an error message returns with ‘cannot be able to find the file or the file is not an image file’.

I have confirmed in the website that MagicISO is the right program for this task.

If anybody knows how to do this, please let me know.

I will be thankful for all your help.

Why don't you try VMWare instead if Virtual Box. it is more powerful tool than the Virtual Box. Anyways that is not your problem I am just suggesting it. Here are the possible things that you might think of doing

When using MagicISO follow the steps below as this is the process to follow while converting DMG to ISO using this software.

1. Open the DMG file in it.
2. Click the icon with "tick" image to open properties.
3. You will see a lot of dialogue boxes with checks.
4. Under the ISO tab, Uncheck the Apple HFS and Apple HFS+ checkboxes.
5. Under same tab, check the boxes of ISO 9660, Juliet and UDF.
6. Click OK.
7. Click the save as option to save it as an ISO image.

However I prefer using PowerISO, here are the steps to follow using PowerISO

1. Install and start PowerISO.
2. From Tools, choose Convert
3. It will show you a DMG converter Dialog. Choose the DMG file that you want to convert to ISO.
4. Select the output file format that will be ISO. Name the file too.
5. Click OK and it will start converting DMG
