What is the difference between cloning and Imaging a Hard Drive? I want to back up my Hard Drive so that in case of an accident, I can quickly retrieve my documents and files but choosing the best approach is far from easy. When do I use cloning or when do I use imaging? What are the pros and cons of the two?

Cloning and Imaging files are almost identical in the sense that they provide the assurance that your data will be safe for future use. For Imaging, it has more versatility as it provides compression of your data so you could do several images on a single high capacity external drive. While for cloning, once your existing hard drive crashes, you just simply swap the hard drive where your clone data were stored.
