I really want to install Avid Media Composer, but it won't let me.

Towards the end of the installation, I always get an error message.

I have tried installing it many times with no luck.

Please help me!

The installation failed.

The Installer encountered an error that caused the
installation to fail.Contact the software manufacturer
for assistance.

This is what I am seeing.

Thanks

For you to solve that problem, you need to installPro Tools one by one. For you to do that please follow these steps.

1. Run the installer.
2. Don’t choose “Custom Install” stop and just uncheck CoreAudio.
3. Click right arrow and this will expand pro tools contents.
4. Uncheck DigiRack and Free Bomb Factory plug-ins and the only item that should be checked is the Application Files then click “continue”.
5. Then the installation should be complete/
6. After that run again the installer and install the plug-ins and CoreAudio (install it separately).
7. Just follow the step 1, 2 3 for installingplug-ins separately.
8. By this time, uncheck the “Application files” then click “continue”.  Then wait until the installation will complete.
9. Run the installer again, and by this time, when you get in to “Custom Install” uncheck the “Pro tools” and the only checked now is CoreAudio, then click continue then wait until installation will complete.

Hope this will solve your problem.

If you are using the latest version Avid Media Composer 8.5, check your system if it is fully compatible with the program. For OS X users, you must have OS X 10.9.5 Mavericks, 10.10.x Yosemite, or 10.11.x El Capitan. If your operating system is compatible, check your hardware’s compatibility from Mac Current CPU Specifications PDF.

If there seems to be no problem, try downloading and installing the latest patch from Avid Download Center – Professional Editor Patch. On the other hand, if you are not using the latest version, visit Avid Media Composer.

If nothing works, maybe you need to try doing what the user does in his post in the Avid community website, refer to this: Mac OS X 10.9 Maverick Support for MC. You need to format your hard drive, reinstall your operating system to the one compatible with Avid Media Composer, and then reinstall Avid Media Composer. The problem is maybe with your operating system.
