By using PowerIso 4.6, I burned a .iso file to a dvd, then encountered a problem.  All is functioning well but the problem occurred when the burning process started. The error is like this:

14:43:24 Error writing data. (439-00000140 99049b5c)

Can anybody help me to solve this problem?  Help is very much needed.

PS: I’m working on a Toshiba Satellite L305-S5915 machine.  Thanks a lot.

This is due to the drivers that might be missing and that are required by your dvd writer to write the dvd. Though it supports dvd writing but you have to install the specific drivers for it from the manufacturer website.

  1. If you are using windows vista or windows 7 then there might be the issue of rights. Run the power iso by right clicking on it and selecting the Run as Administrator option.
  2. download and install the latest poweriso and then try to write the dvd.
  3. You should be pretty sure that the dvd you are using is really a blank dvd or it is not finalized dvd. The dvds that are finalized don't let you to write on them anymore even if they have a lot of space left.
  4. if you want to write files that are inside any iso then open the iso instead of add option.
  5. There might be also something wrong with your dvdwriter and you need to clean its lens. But i suggest you to go to a hardware shop and get it checked there instead of doing yourself.

Hello,
This problem can be encountered mainly due to CD/DVD drive fault. If you have checked your CD/DVD drive to be functioning ok then there is some fault with application you are using. Try re-installing the application, if the problem still persists then I would recommend you to use the method given below and proceed as follows.

Download ImgBurn application from a trusted website. ImgBurn is a freeware application that enables you to burn different format files into your CD/DVD, including ISO format.

Install the application.

Now you can use this application to burn concerned files.

I hope this information provides you the solution you are looking for.
