I have a file which has some video in it. I used to play them using Flash player. But now I am facing some difficulty in playing the video. The recent file asks for shockwave player, but I don’t have it in my computer. Do I need to install it? Can I able to use flash player instead of shockwave? Please suggest me some solutions. Thank you.
This application requires the Shockwave Player which is not installed.
Click OK to download Shockwave from Macromedia’s web site.
This application requires the Shockwave Player which is not installed
Similar to Adobe Flash Player and Adobe Flash Player ActiveX, the Adobe Shockwave Player is also a component required by some applications on the computer but installing it is really optional because not all programs require it. In case you encounter a problem when launching something on your computer about Adobe Shockwave Player being missing, you can fix this by installing the player.
To fix an issue related to Shockwave Player, download and install the latest version from Adobe Shockwave Player. Once installed, try playing the file again and it should run this time. Adobe Shockwave is formerly known as Macromedia Shockwave. It is a multimedia platform or program that can be used to add interactivity and animation to web pages.
In case you want to use the standalone version or the offline version of the Adobe Shockwave Player installer, because the one provided above requires you to be connected to the internet while doing the installation, download from Adobe Shockwave Player Alternates Page.
