Hello techyv guys,

I am sharing here my bad experience in using Homestyler, I am using this software just lately, when I am about to get some updates on their server I received an error about certificate problem.

Homestyler- dragonfly.autodes.com:443 uses an invalid security certificate. This could be a problem with the servers configuration or it could mean someone trying to impersonate the server. If you have connected to this server successfully in the past, the error may be temporary and you can try again.

As I checked on the certificates available in my computer it is present, that is why I am wondering why it cannot be recognized, I already tried to get a new certificate, but still same problem persist for days now, I already emailed for support but till now I haven't get any words from then in response to my problem, please help me isolate the problem,

Thanks.

Hi,

In this case you can take help from internet to solve this matter. But if you want to do it manually then follow these steps:

1.       Open start menu and click on run

2.       Type regedit here and press enter.

3.       Go in this folder HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE

4.       In this window open your error detecting software location

5.       Now select new option and click on key.

6.       Now create new edit menu and select DWORD VALUE option.

7.       Now press its exe file name

8.       Click on modify and press enter.

9.       Then in the modification area press ok.

In this process you will manually solve this problem.

Have you tried checking if the time in your computer is set correctly as well as the current date setting and year and time zone? Many times this would be the cause of the problem.

This error also means that the certificate you received from the website/server was actually for a different website/server. Therefore, although communication between your system and the server is encrypted and secured, the server may not be who you were expecting it to be. This may be an issue if the name of the website/server doesn't really seem right. However, many times adding the three w's (www) on the website/server name (in your case in the update server information) should be able to take care of it.
