Hello. I would just like to ask if I can use a GIF file or any animated file for my SMF favicon for my website? Is this applicable?

Hello William,

There are just 3 steps for creating an animated favicon gif.

Step 1.

Create an image that you would like to use. You can use any image size. Our favicon generator will resize you image

to be the perfect animated favicon ico. It is better, if you use perfectly square (ie. 100 Pixels x 100 Pixels).

Step 2.

Submit your image to the form below and after a couple of seconds you'll get your image back compressed and

resized for use as a favicon.ico.

Step 3.

You can add a favicon to your web page by uploading favicon.ico to Root of your website and inserting the following

HTML tag between the <head> … </head> tags of your web page.

How to use the Animated FavIcon Gif:

If you would like to display the animated favicon gif, upload animated_favicon.gif also

and insert the following HTML tags.
