After 3ds max 2011installation Hotfix 4 error

Asked By 0 points N/A Posted on -

Hello Community,

During the installation of 2011 max on to my PC everything was okay, but when I tried to apply the hotfix 4, my four view ports turned into black but the user border remained grey and still loading.

And I could press in the sight ports but I was unable to see anything.

The same thing for the mesh drop work for modeling – I could not see anything.

Windows Installer

The upgrade patch cannot be installed by the Windows Installer service because the program to be upgraded may be missing, or the upgrade patch may update a different version of the program. Verify that the program to be upgraded exists on your computer and that you have the correct upgrade patch.

My operating system is Windows 7 and I have tested to see that my hardware is upgraded. I have figured that something has worked on my di-o-matic, when I tried it the first time. It makes me to rearrange to default UI and when I confirm yes/no, it makes no difference how many different techniques I have tried, it just goes back to turning the viewports black.

Please show me a way that will restore the original and I do not mean to service pack the software or update till there is another solution for the fix lol.

Thanks for replying.

After 3ds max 2011installation Hotfix 4 error

Hey Molly Cart!

Well after reading your message i have concluded that you are only left with two options. If you want to overcome this error you have to choose one of these options.

First option is System Restore:

You can use system restore option that will fix all your previous configurations. For this purpose go to Start menu > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > and select system restore.

Second option is obviously of updating the service pack of your windows. Basically there are some components that are needed to run the program, these components comes with windows 7 Standard SP1. Update your windows service pack to overcome this problem.
