Hello Yvonne S Gresham!

1. You need to install first WINE program via Ubuntu Software Center.

2. Download the Dreamweaver installer then right-click 'Open with' -> 'Wine Windows Program Loader'. Wait for a second and it will start installing on your computer.

Please note that not all Windows application will run on Linux Machine using Wine. You can also try different IDE’s Eclipse, Aptana Studio and Quanta.

Hi Yvonne S Gresham

There is a support to run windows applications in Linux. I personally go to this experience in past and learned some new things from there, there are 6 tools or packages which you can use on Linux to run windows applications

  1. Virtual Box
  2. Wine
  3. Qemu
  4. Bochs
  5. Redesktop
  6. Xen

There are multiple cross platforms for Linux instead of Dreamweaver.

  1. Kompozer (use this command to install on ubuntu “sudo apt-get install kompozer”)
  2. Seamonkey Compozer (use this command to install on ubuntu “sudo apt-get install seamonkey”)

They both are fully visual and they have friendly user interface too.
