Acer 5920g nvidia graphics problem

I have an Acer 5920g and the problem I am having is with its Acer 5920g graphics.

I have no idea what model the graphics card in this laptop is and by don't know I mean, I don't know the exact model of the gpu.

Can I download any forceware version for the gpu to work properly in this laptop?

Acer 5920g nvidia graphics problem

Hello Zacharytyshawn,

The thing about advanced GPU in models such as yours (5920) is that they require a compatible graphics driver for full functionality.

The Acer model 5920 has nvidia GeForce 8600M GT. You can check yours from your laptop itself.

Go to Windows > Run > dxdiag. Navigate to the display tab above. The name of the graphics driver is mentioned there.

You can then download the respective driver from it's official website.

Actually there is missing of graphics driver in your laptop so that's why this causing problem.Sometimes, some application program cause this to happen. But automatic shut down or sudden shutdown also cause this too. So here I am giving you some links from where you can download driver of Acer laptop.

With laptops, you don’t need to know the exact model of the device or the video card before you can update its driver. You only need to know the model of your laptop to download the driver. All drivers for your laptop model can be downloaded from the manufacturer’s website. This is the way you download drivers for laptops and branded desktop computers.

To download the video card driver for your Acer Aspire 5920G laptop, go to Product Support for Acer Aspire 5920G. Here, select your correct operating system then download and install all available drivers and software for your device especially the driver for the graphics adapter. The drivers for Acer Aspire 5920G are available for Windows XP (32-bit only), Windows Vista, and Windows 7.

There are no drivers available for Windows 8.x and Windows 10.
