Whenever I open Internet Explorer I get a ‘website cannot be shown’ message.

Right before this started happening, my malware application had recognized malware.

What could be causing this problem?  

I’ve examined the configurations in IE and it set to the appropriate homepage.

I keep losing my tab settings on IE9.  When I open up the browser it goes to a blank page even though I set it to go to cnet.com. 

I close the browser after adjusting the settings, but then it goes to a blank page again! 

What do I do to fix this?

I am using Windows Vista in my laptop and I am trying to connect to the internet by using any web browser. The problem is that my internet connection works well when signing into MSN or other chatting software but did not open any website when I am trying to use Internet Explorer. On the other hand, I have tried installing Firefox but it is not executing when I try to open it.

I have scanned my laptop with various antivirus programs like Malwarebytes and Spybot and deleted all suspicious and infected cookies and even tried to restore my laptop to previous state, but I find no difference. What should I do so that my internet connection starts working in Internet Explorer or Firefox?

I'm using Internet Explorer 8 and I've been having this problem a few months after I used this browser. When I tried to watch movies or play online games in the browser, it stops all of a sudden and then restarts. The worst part is that it quits when I'm editing a blog post or responding to mails. I am using Internet Explorer 8 in Windows XP and I am failing to watch You Tube videos. When I try to play You Tube video it says "You need Adobe Flash Player to watch this video". I downloaded Adobe Flash Player several times. But it’s not working. Please help me in this situation. Thanks in advance
