Youtube won’t play videos after Firefox update

There was a kernel update on Firefox and I started to have some problems with Youtube. I am able to watch videos from other websites except for Youtube. I get 'An error occurred. Please try again'. Other websites with flash works too. Is there a way I can revert the update?

Youtube won’t play videos after Firefox update

Hello Barb,

You can try the below solution.

1.  Go to Tools > Addons > Click on Disable button for DownloadHelper

2.  Close and Restart Firefox.

Generally the issue you are facing comes due to the problem of Conflict of DownloadHelper and updated Flash player. Also it can be due to cache, perform below to reload the webpage and bypass the cache and refresh the outdated or corrupted files.

• Press and hold Shift and left-click the Reload button.
• Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
• Press "Command + Shift + R" (MAC)

Clear the cache and cookies as well.
