I have been updating my Windows 7 machine as and when the updates arrive. I have never faced an issue while updating until the last update. The system could not install the update and gave windowsupdate_800b0100 error windows 7. How can I update now?

There are a few issues that can cause errors during installing Windows updates. The exact reason behind this particular error is not known. It is worth mentioning that this error is not exactly unseen but the number of users reporting it is still very small.

As for the solution to your problem, there is only one work for all solutions to this problem as of now. To install the update even after getting this error, you have no option but to install the update manually. To do this, go to Control Panel -> Windows Updates -> and change the setting to download updates but install when I say. This will allow you to install the updates manually.
