Windows not starting- installation of sound card

I just made recent changes to my pc by adding a new sound card. Now when I restarted my pc, it failed to load windows, suggesting that recent hardware changes have been made to the PC and a repair is required. I have tried this option to no avail. What are my options? Should I format the PC?

Windows not starting- installation of sound card

You haven’t mentioned version of windows (Windows 7, windows 8). Anyways, When you added the sound card you should install available updates for the same. First of all, Check for windows updates. If it is available then update the windows then add sound card and related updates for the same. It must be asking you to update the installed drivers and also the hardware which is added , you should have installed the updated compatible drivers for the same.
