Hi experts,

So, I have checked the Internet connection and is working just fine, like usually without a problem. But still I cannot install .Net Framework. I don’t know what to do next so I can make a proper install. Any solution ? Can someone help me please with this error and how can I prevent this in the future ?

Thank you !

The following feature couldn’t be installed:

.NET Framework 3.5 (includes .NET 2.0 and 3.0)

Windows couldn’t connect to the Internet to download necessary files. Make sure that you’re connected to the Internet, and click “Retry” to try again.

Error code: 0x800F0906

Windows Features error with .NET Framework

Hi Tameka, the main reason why you see this error code is because the computer cannot download some required files from the Windows update files. In order to resolve this issue you must try to establish a connection with the internet then check the updates on Microsoft updates. As you might be aware the new release of Windows 8 and 8.1 does not come with a Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 installed. Since there are so many third party software that indeed requires the .NET  Framework in your system. So you needed to install this manually in your computer. First step you must do once already in the Microsoft updates site try to go to  your Control panel and go to Programs and Features and try to disable the Windows features on or off icon. By doing so, Windows first downloads the setup files of the .NET Framework 3.5 from the internet & installs it in your system.
