I tried installing the new Windows 8 Dev and my computer hangs after 10 seconds of booting it if the monitor is on. And I have to use the manual restart button to reboot it. It boots perfectly the second time. And there is no booting issue if the monitor is switched off. Any help will be appreciated.

Well, has that been going on since you installed the windows 8 application or was it something that just happened one time? It may be just a temporary issue that just happened one time and restarting the computer might have just fixed it. But if the issue goes on and on, you may need to run the windows, and to do that you will need to do the following:

Obtain the window 8 installation CD and insert it into the DVD drive on your computer.

Restart the computer.

If there is an issue with the system, the computer will sense it and then it will ask you if you want to run system repair.

Comply, and then let windows try and fix the issues with the system.
