1.How can i use Windows 7 or XP on my Apple I Book G4? Is it possible to install windows 7 or XP in it?If yes please let me know.

2.My Apple I Book G4 cannot hold the backup power after just 5 minutes.Is it a battery problem or any kind of software conflicts?

Windows 7 or XP on my Apple I Book G4

Running Windows Operating System on an Apple computer becomes possible by the help of the "Boot Camp" software.  But unfortunately, Boot Camp will not run on your Apple I Book G4 since it only works on Macs with Intel Processors.  You can run other virtualization software such as Virtual PC and Install Windows from there but then you can only run it inside the OSX Environment and not natively just like when you use Boot Camp.

If your battery cannot hold charge for so long, it is most likely a battery problem.  If you have been using the battery for quite some time now, it might mean that it's almost near the end of its life span and it's time for you to ditch it and buy a replacement soon.

All hardware require different software to be installed as they are designed for and you can not implement a software that does not support your system. So see that you Apple I Book G4 support the window XP or not you can check the system requirements for your Apple I book and also see that which window supports your Apple I Book. As i have say that it only works when your system requirements are full filing the requirements of window but in case of Apple I Book its processor does not support the XP window and that's why it is not able to install a window software, you can just use the specific software for which it is designed for.

Secondly you can see why your battery is getting problem are you using it for more then five years and you never run it on battery in these five years then it may be now damaged and you need to replace it with a new one. But you can install some special battery care software for this purpose such as battery case and it will show you all the details for your Apple I Book battery details.
