Hi!

I need help on my hard disk drive. When clicking on the Control Panel > System and Security > BitLocker Encryption drive,

I cannot see my hard disk drive.

Please look at the attachment below:

It is supposed to be the same as the screenshot above, but in my case, I can only see a single dive which is the Drive C.

The rest is not showing.

I need to access other drives because I have to apply BitLocker on Drive D.

Please help me as I do not want to re-install Windows 7 again.

Thanks.

If your drive D is a separate hard drive from drive C then you need to check the cable of your hard drive. It might have gotten a little loose or maybe the drive’s supply connector is not properly connected. Be sure to shutdown your computer before opening your CPU case to avoid any problems. Check the ribbon cable of the drive if its connection to the drive’s controller port is well secured. The same with its supply connector, be sure that it is attached tightly in the supply port. If all seems well, start again your computer then go to the BIOS and see if the drive is already detected. Your drive must first appear here before Windows displays it on the desktop. If your drive appears in the BIOS, boot your computer to Windows and check if the drive will appear now.

If on the other hand the drive is still not visible, it is possible that the drive’s partition was set to hidden. You just need to unhide its partition using any partition utility application like Partition Magic.
