Win 7 Setup does not run even by clicking

Hi Everyone,

I have an issue on my Non-branded P4 (3.2 Ghz , 2GB RAM) having Window 7 ultimate. Whenever I try to run a setup of any desktop based application such as Adobe Reader, WinRAR, or any game, the setup doesn't start even by clicking thousands of times. I keep on trying but nothing happens. I will be heart fully grateful if any one helps me out of this.

I would strongly advise that you try rebooting your computer in safe mode, (Restart the computer and press F8 key frequently before the computer shows the Windows screen), until it gives you the listed options of 'Restart the computer in Safe Mode, Restart the computer in safe mode with Networking' etc. Using the arrow keys, scroll to the topmost option, 'Restart the computer in Safe Mode' and then Press enter. While in safe mode, try to install the software that’s giving you issues and see whether it install. If it doesn’t, try installing the same software(s) on another computer and be sure that its really the computer that’s having problems.

You need to isolate problem after problem. The reason is saying this is because you might think that it's your computer that doesn’t allow installing software while indeed it could be that the software they are corrupt or you are trying to install from a virus-infected drive (flash drive, external hard drive etc.)
