Why Google chrome opening pages in html?

Hi guys,

I don't know what settings are being changed in Google chrome may be by mistake it happened that it is opening web pages in HTML format. So please guide me how to change Google chrome back to normal so that it opens the web pages normally like before. Thanks in advance.

Why Google chrome opening pages in html?

Hello,

HTML is the default page type of almost all website. If the file or website is in HTML, Google Chrome will also open it into HTML format. You have nothing to do with this.

If you really think something is wrong, you should try to bring it to the original state. To do that,

1. Open a new tab and go to “chrome://settings”.

2. Scroll down and click “Show advanced settings”.

3. After expanding the section, scroll down and find out the button saying “Reset browser settings”.

4. If prompted, click “Reset”.

Now, your Google Chrome is on the original state.

There’s another way to make Chrome totally a new. Uninstall Chrome by removing all user data and download the latest Chrome.
