Why free antivirus license wizard is not running after updating?

Hi. I installed Avira antivirus some days ago and it was working well for me. But now when I have upgraded it, the free antivirus license wizard does not work and generate an error like “A secure internet connection is required to activate product…”. I have followed instructions given by the message but failed. Please help me how to deal with this problem.

Hello Nimrod abbot,

Six months ago I have faced the same problem like you.  I have used Avira antivirus free version. It looks like works fine for me. But PC is getting slow day by day and I have noticed that my PC is affected by the virus. Then I update the Avira antivirus database.  And then it does not work. It harms a lot of my important files. After this I don’t use any freeware. So I am suggesting you avoid freeware. I am sorry for not giving any solution for this issue. Now I use Kaspersky Internet Security 2013. You may try for it.
