While opening a file from the document library received error message

Hi guys,

I installed Microsoft Office 2010 on my PC. Everything was ok. However, while opening a file from the document library I received an error message. It says, "The Microsoft Office Product necessary to open this file is not installed on your computer". How can I get a remedy of this issue? Please help.

While opening a file from the document library received error message

Hello,

You need to remove completely the already installed Microsoft Office and re-install it again to clear any errors in installation that may have occurred, or some of the files are missing. So to rectify that you need to re-install Microsoft Office again.

Alternatively you should update Microsoft when connected to the internet by downloading the updates and installing them. Also make sure your Microsoft Office is genuine, its product key is verified online to avoid encountering errors. Hope that helps.
