Which is the best statistical software language that is best used to create custom statistical programs. Please suggest the best and freely available statistical software language that supports powerful graphics and databases like MYSQL.

I need a software that will run on Windows and Mac. Waiting to hear for Expert Suggestion.

When it comes to talking about best statistical software language for creating custom statistical programs R Project always comes to my mind first. On top of that it is free. It is yet the most powerful statistical tool available for graphics, manipulation & transformation of data and statistical analysis.

It is used all over the world by academics, students, professionals & people from all walks of life who required statistics for analysis. As it is used by so many it has a very developed knowledge base & all sorts of problem solving solution.

My suggestion is straight forward go with the R project. To start the R project first please try to go through some tutorial available online & then start the actual work. It will assist you a lot.

It also fulfills your requirement of good graphics & MySQL database support. It supports all the OS includes Windows, MAC.
