My computer is an ASUS eepc using Windows 7 Starter. When I installed Google Chrome (Portable Version) I received a Windows compatibility error.
How can I fix this error so that I can successfully install Google Chrome?
It is always better to have live install Chrome from Google.
By that you can make sure of comparable version installed in your system. Since you are using windows 7 you can try solving this problem from the below steps:
1. Right click on the Google Chrome application
2. Select Troubleshoot Compatibility
3. Try recommended settings
4. After then Start the Program.
If your problem did not solve you can try “Troubleshooting the compatibility” instant of above step 3.

I do suggest that you have to uninstall the portable google chrome version that you have installed in your computer. Install a google chrome browser which is not a portable so that all packages needed is surely complete. And you said that you are having a compatibility error, it means that the portable google chrome version 1 is not compatible to your ASUS eepc using Windows 7 Starter operating system.
1. Search in google: download google chrome for free
2. You can see all the results on your computer screen
3. Choose the google chrome version free download that is compatible with the windows 7 starter.
4. After that you have to download it and it is for free.
5. Run it when you the download is done.
6. And feel free to use the google chrome without any compatibility error because the version that you installed is perfectly compatible to your operating system that you are using in your laptop or computer.
